1. Social Media Posts

When you consider using social media as a platform for your business, you must know what you’re doing beforehand so you don’t go into it blind like Ray Charles. Nowadays, nearly everybody is using social media. It can be hard to grab people’s attention, and that’s exactly what we’re aiming for… Attention!

How can you grab their attention?

Some of the best social media posts are ones that make people feel emotions. Have you ever been on Facebook and saw something that captivated your attention? It seemed to just draw you in… Like you had no option but to read or watch it. Social media content that includes humor, emotionally compelling material, relatable stories, or educational facts, will stand out from your competitors.

Some of the best and most common social media platforms for businesses to use are Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter.

Try to think from your customers’ perspective. What would they want to know? Are there any questions they commonly have? When you own a business, your customer is always the most important person. The more that you can get in their head and know what they’re interested in, the better you’ll be able to connect with them.

2. Blog Articles

Blog articles (such as the one you’re reading…) are a great way to develop a bond with your customers. You want them to think of you when they’re looking for a service or product that you offer. It’s a commonly known fact in the marketing world that people buy from others that they know, like, and trust.

By regularly creating articles that educate, entertain, or connect with your customers, you’re one step closer to having your business exactly the way you want it.

Blogging is also a fantastic way to help your businesses’ website show up on Google sooner. Google loves to see websites that regularly post content which people like to read!

You have a few options to go about this. You can outsource your blog articles through a platform such as Upwork, or you can write the article yourself. YouTube and Google is a great resource for learning how to write blog articles that people want to read.

Here’s A Great Tip: Include a call to action in your blog article. Examples of this would be… Comment below, click here to sign up for our newsletter, check us out on Facebook, etc. If people don’t know what you want them to do, sometimes they won’t do it. So tell them!

3. Email Marketing

Surprisingly enough, people still use email and it isn’t outdated! Email marketing is an extremely cost-effective way to market your business or brand. Typically, for every $1 you spend on email marketing, you can expect an ROI of $42 according to Oberlo.com . That’s crazy!

There’s a plethora of affordable email marketing tools that can help you gather statistical data about your customers. As a business owner, it’s important to know your numbers. The more systems that you can use to automate the things you do, the easier your life will be.

How do I get people to read the emails I send?

You can start by using a good headline. By using a good headline, you can draw people in so they want to read your emails. As mentioned earlier in this article, you’re going to want to think from their perspective. What would they be looking for? Is there something they don’t know that you can teach them?

Many common headlines can be seen all over the web. When it comes to this, it’s better to stick with what’s tried and true rather than to reinvent the wheel. You can learn more about this by… you guessed it, Google!

Additionally, you can draw them in by giving them an incentive. Give them something for nothing! We all know people love free stuff! Don’t you? You can include a free download, coupons, or other freebies to give them more of a reason to click on your email.

4. Video Content

I have absolutely no clue what I would do if Netflix or YouTube didn’t exist… Could you even imagine what that would be like? I’d rather not churn my own butter and hand wash my clothes. Technology is great, isn’t it? Yikes… I am so grateful that I don’t have some of the struggles that a lot of people do.

This form of content is HUGE! You can do much more visually with a video than you could with just a picture or an article… There are so many options when it comes to video content. You can create your own videos, hire a videographer, or even use a free animation tool like these.

I’m not sure about you, but videos are one of the main forms of content I look at when I’m on my computer. It’s a great way to learn things in a way that simply isn’t possible with pictures or words. By using a synergy of sound and video, you can create a stronger impression than you might be able to with other forms of content.

By leveraging content marketing, you’re creating new pathways for your customers to find you. That’s a really smart thing to do. We hope that this article has been educational and slightly entertaining. Take this information and run with it! Imperfect action they say, right?
