World’s largest virtual incubator to make India self-reliant

By

Inspired by the Government of India’s initiative called Aatmanirbhar Bharat, three young visionaries have launched the world’s largest virtual incubator to contribute $5 Trillion to the Indian economy. This virtual incubator comes as a much-needed hope when the world as a whole struggle with the COVID-19 pandemic. This virtual incubator aims to empower migrant workers and MSMEs by providing them the necessary resources in tough times like these.

A startup advertising company called Roiww.co consisting of Bhaskar Negi, Anis Turak, and Yasmeen Sheikh felt the need, desire, and, more importantly, a responsibility to support the Aatmanirbhar campaign, which means self-reliant in Hindi.

Aatmanirbhar.live is a platform build for 130 crores Indians to showcase their business ideas by submitting videos from anywhere in India. With plans to launch a virtual event in Hindi & English to help people become self-reliant by supporting them with the required resources.

Under the mentorship of Dr. Tausif Malik, Roiww.co was started with limited resources and without any external funding following their vision to support the Aatmanirbhar initiative of the Indian government. Roiww.co, an advertising and tech company, was set up based on the Maker model for startups. This functional model promotes collaborations between different startups and helps save resources.

It is important to note that there are about 60 million MSMEs in India, employing 110 million workers while out of the total workforce of 400 million, 89 million workers are migrants. In a survey by All India Manufacturers’ Association (AIMO), 35% of MSMEs and 37% self-employed respondents shared a concern that their enterprise is beyond the point of recovery.

While 29% of India’s GDP is contributed by MSME’s, its revival is crucial if India must survive the current pandemic. The current woe is that the migrant workers who are the backbone of the Indian industry are reluctant to return to the city for work.

This startup was launched in the Q1 of 2020 to help MSMEs survive through various changes like demonetization, GST, and COVID-19. With the mission ‘Vocal for Local,’ this startup charges affordable fees and helps local brands to survive against foreign competition.

With noteworthy results through their work with Magicklean and Pizzaronee, this startup is rapidly gaining momentum. It is sure to make a significant difference in the lives of those who have been impacted by these ongoing crises. Through their free of cost platform Aatmanirbhar.live, these visionary youngsters are determined to do what it takes to make the change happen.
