CollegeDekho Closes Series B Funding Round with $35 million

By

CollegeDekho, a six-year-old educational service providing platform, has recently completed a series B funding round. It has raised $35 million in this round which was raised by Winter Capital, ETS Strategic Capital (the private equity investment arm of ETS- Creator of the TOEFL test and the GRE test), Calega, and existing investor Man Capital. Disrupt ADQ and QIC also participated in this round as investors.

CollegeDekho is an edtech platform founded by Ruchir Arora in the year of 2015. It connects prospective colleges and students using its proprietary technology and artificial intelligence-based conversation bot. It also provides students applying to colleges abroad with profile building, common application, test preparation, university selection, and visa assistance.

“Following the fruitful completion of series B funding, we will be expanding our team, and platforms to serve a larger number of students and colleges. We will also increase our investment in products and technologies while fuelling our growth in our new verticals such as education loans, student accommodation, and coaching for higher education. Even as we double down on our efforts to increase our reach in the Indian market, we will also consider expanding our presence abroad”, said Ruchir Arora, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), ColleDekho.

“We are happy to welcome ADQ and QIC along with ETS Strategic Capital as our co-investor in CollegeDekho. We are convinced that partners as solid as these joining the pool of investors further strengthens the prospect of success for CollegeDekho and Proves the value of an investment in EdTech, which is poised to reach $10 billion in size in the next 5-10 years,” added Anton Farlenkov, managing director at Winter Capital Advisors.

CollegeDekho has been doing a marvelous job for students applying to colleges both abroad and domestic. In India, it helps students figure out college preferences, college comparisons for the best selection, and students loans. With such a meaningful role in helping students, CollegeDekho is sure to attract more investors in the near future.
