Fullerton India Teams Up With Annamitra Foundation To Provide Help To 40,000 Underprivileged Individuals

Fullerton India Credit Company Limited (FICCL) Has been recently felicitated by the governor of Maharashtra for providing healthy meals to over 40,000 medical workers and underprivileged individuals across Maharashtra who have been affected adversely during the COVID-19 lockdown. Governor Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari offered a certificate of appreciation to Fullerton India’s chief business officer, Ajay Pareek.

Conjoining efforts with Annamitra Foundation, FICCL provided meals with the help of various kitchens accessible to the needy and deprived, located in Aurangabad and Nagpur. The meals delivered were healthy and nutritious and provided in the form of dry rations like jaggery, nutritious lentils, edible oil, soya nuggets, etc in the Mumbai region.

Talking about this social service work done along with the Annamitra Foundation, Swaminathan Subramanian, Chief People Officer of Fullerton India said, “The Covid-19 pandemic has deeply affected people in the past two years and it is necessary that we step up to offer help in any manner to those who need it most. At Fullerton India, we aspire to assist people to maintain sustainable livelihoods and engage with those from various social strata to offer livelihood educational environmental, and health care interventions for individuals as well as local communities. We have collaborated with Annamitra Foundation to help people and provide them with nutritious meals and assist them in biding this scary period.”

Annamrita Foundation  (formerly ISKCON Food Relief Foundation), is a relief and social serving organisation that provides mid-day meals to Municipal and Government aided and Non-aided schools across 21 locations in seven states of India. It has achieved a milestone feat of serving up to 12 lakh meals every day, since 2004. 

Fullerton India also helps society by distributing 1 lakh health hygiene kits through 1000+ health and awareness camps conducted during the first and second phases of the COVID-19 pandemic. The company has also strived towards providing oxygen concentrators, patient beds for quarantine centers, and healthy meals to healthcare workers and underprivileged communities.

Fullerton India aspires to assist under bank and unbanked sections by not just providing them with financial services, but also enabling those communities with services and skills that will help them improve and elevate their standards and quality of living.
