Indian Institute of Management Mumbai (IIM Mumbai) marked the 11th International Day of Yoga with a successful celebration on Friday, 21st June 2025. The observance was part of a broader nationwide initiative led by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Ayush. Centered around the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” the event underscored the vital connection between personal wellness and planetary health.
The celebration began early in the morning at 6:00 AM in the Swami Vivekananda Hall basement, where attendees gathered for a live broadcast of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s address. Following this, a comprehensive yoga session was conducted by expert instructors from Kaivalyadhama, Mumbai, bringing together faculty members, administrative staff, officers, and students in a shared commitment to health and mindfulness.
The event witnessed the presence of several key members of the IIM Mumbai leadership team, including:

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Manoj Kumar Tiwari remarked,

It’s inspiring to see such enthusiastic involvement from our campus community, reinforcing the power of yoga not just as a wellness tool, but as a global connector promoting balance and harmony.”
The yoga session included traditional asanas, breathing techniques, and guided meditation, promoting mental clarity, physical flexibility, and emotional resilience among participants. The structured program was tailored to accommodate all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners.
