What made you strike this business idea? What inspired you to start this company?
Venkata Rajendra B – When I was in Engineering, I got this idea. This platform is useful to every budding artist. When I started, I searched for few apps and I could not find any Indian-specific apps at that time. LirQs can bring both artists and art lovers onto a common platform. By using LirQs you can enjoy the best artistic content. It can help to connect people coming from any part of the country for artistic collaboration. This platform is for people who like to write lyrics, quotes, hum music, and share their talent. Keeping Indian youngsters in mind, made me start this platform.
When did you start your business?
Venkata Rajendra B – We registered in August 2019 but our operations came to full-fledged in January 2020. We are based out of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
What does success mean to your company?
Venkata Rajendra B – We believe the satisfaction of our customers is our prime focus. It is the key definition of success to our company.
How are you performing currently?
Venkata Rajendra B – At present we are bootstrapped. We are focusing on making the platform more stable and easy to use for users. Our product LirQs is already available in the market with version 2. We are now focused on version 3. This version 3 has amazing and exciting features.
What is the biggest risk to your company?
Venkata Rajendra B – We are working very methodically to minimizes the risk factors. So I can say we have few challenges rather than risks.
What are your plans for the funding?
Venkata Rajendra B – Currently, our focus is to make the product feasible, accessible, and stable for all our users. Until we achieved the goal, we are willing to sustain with our funds. Once we reach this milestone, we wish to go for series fundings.
What is the biggest challenge you faced during your start-up setup?
Venkata Rajendra B – The challenge that we faced is to find the right start-up culture and locality. We incubated in APIS (Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society) here at Visakhapatnam. It gave us enough insights and access to mentors.
What does growth mean to you and your business?
Venkata Rajendra B – We characterize that growth means a continuous process in business as well as life. That will reflect the desired change into a product. The transformation can be slow or methodical but should be continuous and should not let the product be stagnant at a point.
How does your product stand different from others in the market?
Venkata Rajendra B – Making this product that is targeted at the Indian audience. In this country, being a citizen, we understand the culture and artistic mind of the people of this country. This is what makes us a little bit different from the others in the market.
Where are your start-up services spread?
Venkata Rajendra B – Our start-up service is spread and available across all over India.
What does it feel like to be the founder of your start-up? How does it feel to get up every morning and get on to work?
Venkata Rajendra B – Every day the key thing I do is to chant the mantra “What you do is what you believe in but not what others believe in”. Being a founder, it is required not to lose focus, self-confidence, and self-motivation. It is every power to get on to work.
Where do you see your business standing in the next 5 years?
Venkata Rajendra B – We want to reach as many audiences as soon as possible and turn this platform into a meaningful application. We want this app to be one of the best applications in everyone’s lives. This is how I want to see this in the next 5 years.
