We all are standing in a great era of modern technologies where we all know the incredible and uncountable benefits of courses like a complete IoT program, a machine learning program, a competitive programming course, or a web development program. After all, education is still the ultimate way to succeed, even if you are an individual professional or a business. Technology leaders always work on upgrading their knowledge to be prepared for the future.

How did the journey start?

Ashutosh Kumar Shandilya was a 4th-year college student when he started offering offline classes to around ten students at Bhubaneswar, keeping all these aspects in mind. His value-added and result-oriented teaching programs soon received several accolades from his successful students. This was just the starting of a success story that ultimately created a great impact on the upliftment of our society.

Incredible professional courses

Over 12000 students have already enrolled in these different domains from different parts of the world, including the USA, Taiwan, and of course, India. Now you must be wondering why many students have been enrolling in these online professional programs. Well, the answer is very simple.

Outstanding career opportunities

After all, who wants to lose the opportunity of getting a reputed job during pandemics, when we all are locked in our homes, and people have started losing their job in this crumbling economic situation? All the students and trainees get outstanding placement opportunities after completing these professional courses, as TechBairn is also associated with over five different companies as their hiring partners.

Superior career opportunities for freshers and trainees

The best part is even the trainees of this organization get the chance to work with big names in the industry like Samsung, Directi, Cleartax, Interviewbit, L&T India, Accenture, Gekksforgeeks, LearningMate, RedHat, TCS, IBM, etc. What can be a better opportunity than this for a fresher? They get to know about all the industry requirements and finally manage to snitch the best opportunities for their career with their knowledge and experience.

This is how this company became one of the leading tech startups in India. You will be amazed to know that this company has received its recognition from the prestigious DIPP, Government of India, MSME. But this story doesn’t end there. It is also supported by startup India. Now they have three different branches located in Patna, Delhi, and Bhubaneswar.

The inspiration to thousands of aspirants

TechBairn gives thousands of students and trainees inspiration to embrace a tech career by providing an excellent professional training process. But according to this company, the aspirants are the real source of inspiration that dedicate themselves entirely to their education and achieve success with great knowledge. These passionate young minds are the true gifts for our society.

What made you strike this business idea? What inspired you to start this company?

Ashutosh – Education plays a pivotal role in the lives of every individual and it succors us to reach our ultimate goal of success. But in a developing country like India, many unfortunate individuals cannot get a quality education at an affordable price. Looking at this dire situation of the country which is a factory of abundant talents with fewer facilities for learning I came up with the idea of providing high-quality tech education to everyone at a very reasonable price. Basically, our crucial motive is to target the students and enthusiasts of tier 2 and tier 3 colleges in order to enhance their skills with the best quality of education. We want to lift up their confidence in achieving success. Hence, in order to fulfill this loophole, we started our company.

When did you start your business?

Ashutosh – I started this when I was in the 4th year of my college, September 2019. Initially, we started out providing offline classes at Bhubaneswar in Embedded and IoT with around 10 students.

What does success mean to your company?

Ashutosh – Our company firmly believes in creating value rather than valuation. Even if we can play a bit in their journey of success it will give us immense joy. We want to provide something that will have a good impact as well as uplift society.

How are you performing currently?

Ashutosh – Right now we are having 10+ professional programs/courses in the different tech domains and till now have been able to touch the lives of more than 12K students globally which includes students from India, the USA, Japan as well as Taiwan.

In India, we have collaborated with various colleges/universities such as Bit Mesra, Nit Durgapur, DTU, St.John, KIIT, SOA, Techno India, Army Institute of Technology, Pune, and the list goes on.

Along with this, we have also onboarded 5+ companies as our hiring partners in order to provide better placement opportunities to our students and trainees.

What is the biggest risk to your company?

Ashutosh – Entrepreneurship is all about taking a risk and learning from our failures. We take every risk as our challenge and we believe that learning from failures is as important as victory. We as a team hustle hard to achieve our goals. Entrepreneurship is also all about uplifting the society and creating value for the people.

What are your plans for the funding?

Ashutosh – We are completely a bootstrapped start-up. For now, we are not looking for any kind of funding as we are generating a profitable amount of revenue for managing our company. In the future, if we find any investor like-minded then we might think of raising the fund.

What is the biggest challenge you faced during your start-up setup?

Ashutosh – When it comes to a startup, team is everything because it is like your asset. You need a bunch of people who are as passionate as you. They should be aligned to the company’s motto and beliefs. Initially at TechBairn, I was not able to hire good people, which led to a decrease in our scaling. Now I consider hiring as my top most priority.

Because as a tech founder I was very poor at sales & marketing but with time I learned a lot and hired people who are very knowledgeable at marketing.

What does growth mean to you and your business?

Ashutosh – The meaning of growth in our view is impacting as much as the lives of individuals through providing quality education. If we are able to inflict more and more knowledge to the society then that means growth to our business. Reaching out to all the talented minds around the world is our main motive.

How does your product stand different from others in the market?

Ashutosh – We provide a personalized learning program from the expert trainers with one-to-one mentorship, TA support & Discussion, regular assessments.

We provide different badges (platinum, gold, silver, bronze) to the students based on their performance during the sessions. After the completion of their courses, the final badges are mentioned in the certificates provided to them.

Our company has trainers from Samsung, IBM, Directi, Geeksforgeeks, Interviewbit, Cleartax, RedHat, Interviewbit, TCS, L&T India, LearningMate, Accenture, etc.

From the next month onwards we are introducing TechBairn coins which will be earned by the students during the course through which they can shop on Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, and Nykaa.

Where are your start-up services spread?

Ashutosh – Currently we are having 150+ campus associates globally from different colleges/universities. The majority of our alumni are from India but a few are also from countries like the USA, Japan, Taiwan.

What does it feel like to be the founder of your start-up? How does it feel to get up every morning and get on to work?

Ashutosh – A startup is like an organism .Starts with a single cell(Founder) and rapidly divides into multiple cells but having the same DNA. So as a founder you need to keep the vision of everyone the same as the company.

Entrepreneurship is not a hobby,it’s a passion. So I as a founder just enjoy the process.

Where do you see your business standing in the next 5 years?

Ashutosh – By the end of 2025 we will be creating the world’s largest educational marketplace where anyone can teach and anyone can learn at a very affordable price.

Who supports you to stand this business and how?

Ashutosh – I would like to thank all our team members, partners, students who have consistently stood and supported us throughout our whole journey till now.
